Experience helicopter skiing in the San Juan Mountains with Colorado’s only full-service helicopter skiing operation. Helitrax was founded in 1982 and remains Colorado’s ultimate heli-skiing experience. Every alpine adventure we host includes everything you need – from powder skis/snowboard and poles, to avalanche safety briefings, transceivers, lunch and snacks, and six runs of untracked skiing.
During our operating season, Telluride Helitrax is open seven days a week. We normally begin operations around the December holidays and wrap up in early April. We recommend booking as far in advance as is possible for your trip. January is typically our quietest month, but seats are already filling up fast. Some of our deepest powder days have occurred in January. February and March are our busiest months, if you plan on skiing this time of year, book at least a few months in advance. The beginning of April is less busy and spring conditions are some of our favorites. If you like to ski big lines, consider skiing or snowboarding with us towards the end of March or in early April. When it comes to Telluride heli-skiing, you really can’t go wrong!
